District Manager Martin Shaw and Staff at Walding & Son recently made a fabulous donation of a Marks & Spencer Christmas Hamper to the Hillingdon ‘Bobcats’, a local bowling group for the visually impaired.
The hamper was raffled off at their Christmas Party, and was won by Peter Cooper, a regular member, who was delighted with his prize.
As a small charity, the Bobcats did not want money, but were very flattered to be supported with such kindness.
The Treasurer wrote a lovely letter of thanks,
“The Trustees, Committee and members of Hillingdon Blind Bowlers would like to offer our sincere thanks for the donation of such a valuable prize. Small charities like ours rely quite heavily on the generosity of such donations and this has surpassed anything we could have wished for. May I also ask you to thank Suzette and the staff at Waldings in Uxbridge for their help with our collection of the hamper.”
